Our Library

Finham Community Library has been managed and staffed by volunteers since 2018 when the library was threatened with closure. In that time it has been completely refurbished and reimagined. With the addition of moveable shelving the available space can be altered to accommodate different functions and it is available to hire outside library opening hours.

A trustee team of 5, together with almost 30 enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers provide a much-needed service to the local community so do ask if you have questions.

Since our refurbishment we have been able to provide a cafe service where teas, coffees, cold drinks and snack items are available at reasonable cost. Just pop in for a cuppa!

Trustee Board Members

We are actively looking for more people to join us as trustees. Being a trustee can be a little busy at times but it is also very rewarding. If you are interested in becoming a trustee of the library, please contact us by email at to tell us of your interest and we will be pleased to chat to you without any obligation on your part.

You should be well-organised and willing to contribute constructively to future planning. The ability to work with others is essential as is a robust sense of humour!

You must be able to comply with the requirements of all trustees of registered charities as outlined by the Charities Commission. (We can tell you about these so don't worry about looking it up!)
