Santa will visit the library on Saturday 14th December from about 10.15 am. There will be the chance to talk to Santa and to make some Christmas crafts. Booking is essential.

On Sunday 15th December at 4pm we will be singing at our annual Carols on the Green - everyone is welcome!

MINI MONDAYS EVERY OTHER WEEK.

NEXT SESSION - 9th December

Monday 25th November

It is getting close to Christmas and everyone is very busy helping Santa to sort out all of the presents for the good children. ....well, almost everyone!

Mrs Claus heard a lot of noise coming from the sleigh room and found 5 cheeky elves jumping on the sleigh! She had to call Santa and he told the elves not to jump on the sleigh anymore.

Our children today sang about the cheeky elves and made elf hats and elf door hangings.

Monday 11th November

There were a lot of 'cheeky monkeys' in the library today, singing and jumping around!

Monday 28th October

Today we were getting ready for Diwali by making paper plate diya lamps. We were also preparing for Halloween by making boingy spiders and icing Halloween biscuits.

Monday 14th October

Today we began by singing The Wheels On The Train Go Round And Round. Then the children and their adults made some very professional looking trains using egg cartons and cardboard tubes. Two of the library Trustees also got involved!

Monday 30th September

As the weather has been so wet, there have been lots of slugs and snails around, so we decided to make some happy, colourful snails today.

Monday 16th September

Today we sang about caterpillars and all of our art today was caterpillar based......we'll be creating snails next time!

Monday 2nd September

Ice cream was today's theme, so we began by singing 'Five Ice Creams In An Ice Cream Shop' and then used puffy paint to make our own delicious looking ice cream cones - complete with sprinkles, of course!

Monday 19th August

Today's session began with a reading of the Gingerbread Man story, with everyone joining in with 'Run, run, run as fast as you can,

You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!'

Monday 5th August

By popular demand, today's activities were based on the well-loved TV character, Bluey. The children made Bluey masks, coloured Bluey pictures and listened to a Bluey story. Thanks to all adults for helping their little ones with the trickier parts of mask making!

Monday 22nd July

Activities today were based on the story 'Mr Seahorse', by Eric Carle., which we began the session by reading.

The children made paper tissue covered seahorses and beautiful sun catchers. There was also the opportunity - as ever- for personal creativity.
